Fall & Winter

This south, a traditional fall doesn't really exist. We have a midsummer "winter", where the heat keeps all inside and gardens come to their end. Typically, this is when we start our fall & winter seeds. When most other states are cozying up in sweaters mid-November, we could quite easily be pulling weeds in tank tops still. Winter comes, but low tunnels keep things cozy. A growing season of 230+ days is not for the faint of heart.
