Bunny Book Club
Bunny Book Club is our pre-preschool, weekly time of reading & crafts. Semi-educational, always yummy, and hopefully shared with friends!
Annie Silvestro's book was one of the first, beautiful and alive stories that I enjoyed as equally as my son. A random find at the library, that finished with an image of a group of friends sharing muffins and reading together. "I can recreate that!" I thought to myself. Mom was hooked (on the search for yummy books) and kiddo was hooked (muffins and stories? yes please!).
This was the way we built a rhythm into our days in the very beginning. Call it a glorified snack time, it was mom's way to be creative and find copious amounts of books on a subject we found interesting. For mom, a little bit of creativity goes a long way. Some days there are crafts, some days we cook, some days we make the fort and just read.
Once I started looking, I found vast amounts of wonderful stories. I searched for all titles by favorite authors, branched to similar authors, similar topics, similar time frames, ones with interesting illustration. There was more than Goodnight Moon and Curious George (though we love a good C.G.).
"The Books Lists" is a great place to start when looking for a large amount of topical living books. They continue to grow as we continue to read!
"The Stories" are impactful family favorites that have inspired activities and time together, be it a recipe or a quick way to have fun.
